Every day we know the stories of animal abuse, such as the case we made known this Tuesday, in the region of Los Lagos, where a dog ended up with her head inside a bottle.
However, there are also cases that are worth noting, such as the story of Luli and the man who rescued her from the street.
Jorge Olivarez worked for the garbage collection company Gestión Ambiente in Puerto Montt. It was mid last year and winter was present in the area.
In conversation with Biobío Chile, Olivarez reported that one day as he passed by the pickup truck around the corner of Casa San Jorge, an unusual companion joined.
Almost always accompanied, the little dog began to escort the worker, who happened to have a connection with what is now his pet.
Moreover, he said that his company had become so routine that even a small reflective vest was adapted so that nothing happened to him on the way and thus avoid an accident.
By blocks, Luli accompanied them on foot, however, when he was tired he would go alone to the truck to rest.
One more of the family
So it happened about a year and the "work" of Luli ended but did not return to the street.
Jorge Olivarez said that the dog was fond of him, so he decided to take charge of her. In this sense, the worker thanked the gesture of the woman who decided to sponsor the dog, so that later he could adopt her.
Now it has its corresponding chip, new clothes, a necklace with the number of its owners and most importantly, a warm house where to live.
Luli became part of the family of Alvarez, who also has two fox terriers and a poodle, who adapted very well to the presence of the new member.
"This is your home" added Jorge.
