Committed to contributing to the flow of traffic and road safety, the Goiás State Traffic Department (Detran-GO) participates in the Feast in Praise of the Divine Eternal Father, until July 7, in Trindade. Teams of educators are working to distribute reflective vests to pilgrims on their way to the Capital of Faith.
During the event, the municipality will have a booth for educational activities and will hold inspection Blitzen, to curb the combination of alcohol and driving, preventing conflicts in traffic.
Adtran-GO teams of educators have been working since the beginning of the week on the main routes leading to Trinidad, guiding pilgrims and handing out reflective vests. For this, they are traveling three routes.
Until July 7th, the local council will carry out educational activities and Blitzen of the Responsible Ballad at the Feast in Praise of the Divine Eternal Father. The action seeks to make believers aware of safe traffic behaviors and especially to prevent accidents by driving drivers who insist on driving while intoxicated.
In addition to the itinerant actions, Detran-GO will feature a booth where educational material will be distributed and exhibited 3D glasses, which simulate the sensation of ingestion and alcohol or drugs. Visiting pilgrims will be able to test and ask questions. The purpose of the action is to show the motor and visual impairment caused by drunkenness and to stimulate reflection on the dangers of driving after drinking alcohol.
Be seen
Adtran-GO's Traffic Education Manager Gustavo Mota directs pilgrims to wear light and reflective clothing sew on reflective tape while walking. This ensures they are seen by drivers from a long distance, improving safety conditions for both. Walkers should also always walk in an Indian queue and on the shoulder. The use of the headset should be avoided as it takes the pedestrian's attention away from being aware of a possibly dangerous situation in advance.
During the day, walking should be avoided between 10 am and 4 pm. It is also essential for pilgrims to wear sunscreen, intensify hydration and make sure in advance that the footwear to be worn is comfortable at the feet.
