2018 was one of the good years for the Federalist association "Help for children suffering from cancer and handicapped children Crammer": Again, more than 20,000 euros in donations came together, with which the club founded in 1999 primarily financed equine therapies for affected children. "Around 10,000 euros has donated this year only the Federalist company Lager 3000," rejoiced association chairman Argot in a first balance sheet.
She had just visited Thomas Ebbed. Also, the Federalist had a donation in the luggage: 1300 Euro - collected on the occasion of his 50th birthday on the 9th of December. Ebbed had invited as a passionate runner on the occasion of this round anniversary to a charity run on his birthday. 55 were invited, 25 plus a dog came along. He wanted to donate one euro per kilometer for a charitable purpose, he had previously announced. 150 euros came together like this.
"Then, however, the action got its own momentum," Ebbed said: "Above all, because for a club in the region should be donated." In the club donations box, which stood at the birthday in the living room, emigrated another 150 euros, 100 euros came when a neighbor sold home-made advent goods that day. Further donations and all birthday present then also moved to the donation pot - until finally, 1300 Euro were together. Argot Milken praised all dilators and the initiator for handing over the donation "a super action".
In addition to donations, reflective vests with reflective tapes were donated to keep safe and to make pedestrians visible at night or in low light.
18 children are currently being cared for by the association, reported the chairman of the 80-member association. They come primarily from the Crammer, in special cases, there are exceptions to this rule, said Milken. With 18 children, the capacities of the association are currently underutilized. "The care, which sometimes runs for years, ends when the children become adolescents," the chairman made clear that this is now the case with some of those affected: "We are currently undergoing a change." In 2019, the club will be 20 years old - and this is to be celebrated in the autumn also vigorously, announced the chair ever. "A founding member will also invite special donors to eat," she said.
Incidentally, Thomas Ebbed also joined the club at the donation ceremony.
