The policemen together with students of the Primary School and employees of the Provincial Road Traffic Center carried out the action "Candy or a rod".
Police officers, children, and WORD employees waited for drivers with rods and sweets. The sweetness of the candy could only be enjoyed by those who strictly followed the provisions ensuring the safety of themselves, but also to pedestrians and other drivers.
Winter weather requires drivers to be particularly careful. Slippery surface significantly extends the braking distance.
The policemen checked whether the drivers adjust the speed to the conditions on the road. They also paid attention to the fact whether they maintain a safe distance between vehicles, which will allow safe braking to avoid a dangerous road incident.
School neighborhoods, pedestrian crossings are places where the traffic of unprotected road users is greater. There is no place for bravado here!
For children, it is an important lesson confirming in practical knowledge about road safety. Unfortunately, several drivers handed the rod to several drivers. The police officers instructed them how dangerous in their consequences can be committed by the offenses.
All children received reflective vests with reflective tapes in which they will be visible to other road users.
