Two hundred inspected cars, 160 breath tests for alcohol and ten fines mostly for the poor technical condition of the vehicle. This was the result of the event Children's shelf in the city streets, which was reported by server Zlin.cz spokesperson of the inter-town hall Renata Votrubová.
Forces were joined by the Municipal Police, the District Department of the Police of the Czech Republic, the Traffic Inspectorate Vsetín, the town of Valašské Meziříčí, the elementary school Křižná, Vyhlídka, Žerotínova and the school for the hearing impaired. The event was organized by the Besip Commission of the Valašské Meziříčí City Council.a
Children from elementary schools became part of police patrols on Tuesday morning. Groups of children, together with police officers and police officers, alternated at five stations, at the Křižná Elementary School, Kouty Sports Center, Mikoláš Aleš Street, Palacký and Abácie.
"The inspection focused on the technical condition of the vehicles. At two stations she measured speed and checked for drivers before drinking. "A total of over 200 cars were stopped. Ten drivers paid approximately CZK 3,500 on fines. Mostly due to the poor technical condition of the vehicle, missing documents and seat belts not fastened. 160 breath tests for alcohol were performed with a negative result. Only one driver test was addictive," Valchářová said.
The police officers liked the event. As a gift, they took away a T-shirt or a baseball cap with the words "Children's Police" and reflective fabrics. Drivers were also rewarded with a small gift.
