"See and be seen" is particularly important in the winter months. In the long evening and night hours and the early morning, cyclists or pedestrians with dark clothing are often only noticed at the last moment.
Reflectors and reflective clothing significantly increase the safety of cyclists. This is because drivers can recognize them from a distance of 150 meters, for example when they are wearing one of the yellow, reflective "Safe through Münster" vests. This year, from November 15th to 22nd, representatives of the 24 partners of "Safe through Münster" will again be present at the intersections of Münster's rush hour traffic to distribute yellow safety vests to adult cyclists and pedestrians. For the first time this year, 1000 bright yellow shopping bags with reflective stripes and the "Safe through Münster" logo will be distributed.
