Mr. Bioko continues, "We have a 21st century, and the road, which was created for huge amounts of money, has no safe place for cyclists and pedestrians to travel. It is from the same village of Kisi that many people are walking on foot to reach because they have no money.
On this stretch, it is already a road where cars move quite fast despite the speed limit. Besides, there is a lot of traffic there, lots of trucks, because it is a major route to Warsaw. The road after reconstruction is slightly narrower, which makes it difficult to overtake pedestrians and cyclists in a way that does not jeopardize their safety. They can be hit or pushed onto rails or ditches. They will not even help with reflective vests. Guard rails are very close to the road.
There is no space to move on foot, between the edge of the road and the railing. And behind the rails there are deep ditches, which in turn threaten both people and vehicles. My most important question is whether there must be a human tragedy there, so that someone finally thinks that with such a large investment should be taken into account the road safety of other road users. The road is not completely finished yet, so please consider creating a bicycle path there”.
