Traffic education for road safety

In the period from 24 October 2016 until March 30, 2017 was the two traffic educator’s police inspection Samberg, PHK Herald Hotelman and POK Horst Sterol, conducted in the schools of the city Samberg and the district, the student education of road safety.

From the age of 13 years it is possible to be student. In seventh grade, the two traffic educator of PI Samberg students train to school and serve them well in the aftermath. The training includes four days á two lessons with traffic issues such as road traffic regulations (Highway Code), driver's license law, recognizable by reflective vest and of course, the tasks of the student and Bus lose. Also on the correct behavior after a traffic accident is pointed.

As tasks monitoring a parent, the prevention of "fights" or "nudges land" and the retention of students can be called from the curbside exemplary. The support and willingness to help younger, not roadworthy students distinguishes.

Crossing guards collect the children and students at the roadside before crossing the zebra stripes, to facilitate their crossing a road and provide guidance on how to behave. They also have the Winterkilled and striking reflective clothing motorists back to their duty of care to the small pedestrians.

The young transport workers receive for their work, of course, no pay; these are to do volunteer work. They are supported by the Road Patrol through the procurement of reflective warning clothing and Winker Keller. By some schools is known to organize as a sign of recognition for the young transport workers a trip or a barbecue.

A total of 221 students have been trained by PHK Hotelman and POK Strieber in the training period, of which 156 students passed the final exam. Some of them are already active and make through their work a great contribution to school safer!
